Congratulations on Your Pregnancy
My name is Lanna Hussain and I am based in Abbots Langley, Hertfordshire. I trained as a Birth and Postnatal Doula in the hope of aiding women to experience satisfying births, and to ease their transition into life with a newborn.
I trained with Nurturing Birth and am a a member of Doula UK.
A Doula - the Greek word for a female slave - provides
practical and emotional support to a woman during birth. Commonly termed
'mothering the mother' my focus is upon listening to the mother-to-be's wishes,
and providing a calming presence throughout.
